We are looking for an experienced home inspector who wants more than just another inspection job. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, professional, dependable, and interested in becoming a key part of a growing multi-inspector company.
Position Summary
We are hiring a full-time Senior Home Inspector to perform residential inspections, ancillary inspection services, client communication, report writing, and assigned company outreach.
This position is designed for an experienced inspector who can work independently, communicate well with clients and agents, produce accurate reports, and represent Fireline Inspections with professionalism.
As the company grows, this position has strong potential to advance into a Team Lead Inspector role, which may include training newer inspectors, supporting quality control, assisting with operations, and helping lead the inspection team.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Perform residential home inspections (structure, roofing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
- Produce detailed, easy-to-understand inspection reports
- Communicate findings clearly and professionally with clients and agents
- Operate company vehicle safely and professionally
- Maintain strong attention to detail and time management
- Perform approved ancillary services when trained and assigned
- Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicle, and inspection materials
- Follow Fireline inspection procedures, reporting standards, and company policies
- Providing a high-quality client experience
- Support realtor relationships and company outreach when assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have:
- Must have an active North Carolina or South Carolina Home Inspector License
- Strong understanding of major home systems
- Ability to complete reports professionally and within required timelines
- Valid driver’s license and clean, insurable driving record
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Willingness to follow company systems, standards, and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred but not required:
- South Carolina Home Inspector License
- Radon testing experience or certification
- Mold testing experience
- Sewer scope experience
- Drone / FAA Part 107 license
- InterNACHI membership
- Experience with modern inspection software
- Interest in growth by training, leadership, and team development
Compensation
This is a W-2 commission-based position with strong earning potential based on inspection volume, services completed, quality, and company growth.
Estimated compensation range: $50,000–$80,000 per year
Actual earnings may vary based on inspection volume, schedule availability, ancillary services, client demand, seasonal market conditions, and approved company growth activities.
Vehicle & Equipment
A company vehicle and company phone will be provided for this position. Fireline will also provide additional required tools, equipment, software access, uniforms, insurance and inspection resources needed to perform assigned work.
Schedule
This is a full-time position. Inspection volume may vary based on market demand, scheduling, and seasonality. Some Saturday availability, realtor events, office visits, CE events, or networking events may be required.
Growth Opportunity
This role is being filled as a Senior Inspector position, but there is strong potential for advancement into a Team Lead Inspector role as Fireline continues to grow.
A future Team Lead may assist with training, report review, quality control, field support, client issue support, and leadership within the inspection team.
