Summary:
At Firelands Scientific, our website is not just a menu; it’s our primary revenue driver and storefront. As the Digital Commerce Manager, you will own the end-to-end digital shopping experience across The Landing Dispensaries, ensuring we convert demand into revenue through best-in-class merchandising, navigation, and product storytelling. This role partners closely with buying, planning, retail, and marketing to translate inventory, promotions, and customer insights into a high-performing digital experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end site merchandising strategy across all categories, driving revenue, conversion rate (CVR), average order value (AOV), and units per transaction.
- Translate inventory positions, promotional strategy, and demand signals into effective on-site execution.
- Build category, collection, and campaign landing experiences that balance brand storytelling with sell-through.
- Lead product ranking, sorting, navigation, filters, and taxonomy strategy to maximize product discovery.
- Manage cross-sell and product recommendation strategies to increase basket size.
- Own site search strategy, keyword taxonomy, synonym mapping, and search optimization.
- Partner with Marketing and agency partners on SEO, content, and local search initiatives.
- Analyze performance trends and provide category-level reporting and recommendations.
- Lead testing and optimization initiatives, including A/B testing and UX enhancements.
- Partner cross-functionally with Buying, Planning, Marketing, and Retail teams.
- Ensure operational excellence during promotions and high-volume periods.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- No direct supervisory responsibilities; serves as a cross-functional leader and key stakeholder.
Relevant Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 5 years of experience in site merchandising, e-commerce, or digital retail.
- Proven ability to drive revenue through on-site optimization.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into action.
- Deep understanding of product ranking, taxonomy, search optimization, CVR, AOV, and UPT.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms, CMS systems, and search tools; Dutchie experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and execution skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
