What You Will Do:
- Under the direction of the Director, Education Services designs and coordinates staff and community programs to enhance staff abilities, licensure/certification requirements, and to promote wellness in the community and corporate structure.
- Responsible for development and maintenance of records/reports required for accrediting agencies and AHA educational accreditation standards; recommends timely record management changes as required.
- Coordinates and participates in developing education requests/requirements for Nursing and other departments.
- Under the direction of the Director, coordinates and supports General Orientation and Nursing Orientation.
- Assists with the development of tailored programs for Medical Center departments that assist in meeting department specific educational needs (BLS, ACLS EKG Basics, PALS) utilizing current standards of care and evidence-based practices.
- Coordinates and implements instructor updates, renewals and develops new instructors for the program.
- Responsible for compiling and submitting QA reports to the Director, Education Services.
- Monitors and maintains evaluation of all programs; keeps Director informed of same and highlights any noticeable deviations from standard. Submits reports to the Education Director.
- Plans, coordinates and implements clerical skills and advertising strategies for various programs (ie: flyers, manuals/handbooks, posters, videos).
- Facilitates online education through Education Council collaboration.
- Keeps abreast of current health care education trends; maintains and enhances job‑related expertise and upgrades own professional development through appropriate educational experiences.
What You Will Need:
- Graduate of accredited Registered Nurse program; currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio. ACLS, PALS, and BLS Instructor Status through American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days. Additional instructor statuses highly encouraged. BSN or higher preferred.
- Ability to maintain and project a positive impression of the Medical Center at all times.
- Ability to maintain neat and orderly reports and records.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated interest in education and familiarity with adult learning principles.
- Proven ability to teach a multi‑program schedule in various formats.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form.
- Demonstrated ability in public speaking/presentation.
