Duties

• Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Toast POS or Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy.
• Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and upselling additional products to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols.
• Assist with food handling duties including stocking supplies, managing food storage, and ensuring proper food safety practices are followed.
• Support quick service operations by managing multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations, from cashiering to food prep to customer service.

Skills

• Experience in food preparation and handling within a quick service or fast-food restaurant environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities swiftly during peak hours.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Previous restaurant experience or work in the food industry is highly desirable; retail or grocery store experience is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced café or food service setting while maintaining a positive attitude. Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
