Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and quality standards, including basic food handling and sanitation practices
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, cashiering, and sales transactions
- Take customer orders accurately, upsell menu items, and provide friendly service to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen spaces through bussing and sanitation procedures
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy using POS systems and perform basic math for cash handling and change calculation
- Assist with food delivery from kitchen to customers, ensuring proper food safety protocols are followed
- Restock supplies and ensure the restaurant remains organized and well-stocked throughout shifts
- Support team members in various roles including food preparation, serving, and cleaning to ensure smooth operations during busy hours
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cashiering, or food service environments such as quick service restaurants or cafes
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS; strong cash handling skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to upsell menu items effectively
- Strong time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
