As a Caregiver Companion, you'll have the opportunity to connect with people in our community who need some companionship, help around the house or maybe errands around town. If you want to make a difference by helping someone in need but don't have formal caregiving experience or training, this is a perfect opportunity for you. Prior to your interview we'll ask you to complete a caregiver profile, which gives us more information about the type of cases and schedule you'd like. We'll provide you with the tools, training and support you need and then we'll match you with clients that fit your skills and preferences. As you become comfortable in your role, we'll give you additional training opportunities if you want to broaden your skill set. About this position: We currently have a part-time POWER WEEKEND position (days, evenings, and nights) available caring for clients in their homes in and South Bend/ Mishawaka and Elkhart/ Goshen (25 mile surrounding area). Hours can be flexible. You set your own availability. We have a variety of cases and clients with different needs, so we can usually find a good fit for just about everyone. Please inquire about available clients during your interview.

Job responsibilities include:
Companionship, light housekeeping, and/or meal preparation services
Assistance with activities of daily living (ADL) (upon successful training and completion of competency evaluation)
Assistance with instrumental activities of daily living (IADL)
Medication reminders
Driving to clients to provide in-home care
Requirements Include:
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
High school diploma or GED
4 weekends a month
Available for 12-hour shifts (Saturday and Sunday)
Drive a 25-mile radius
