What are the responsibilities and job description for the Handyman and Audio Visual Technician position at Firefly Anything Tech?
About the Role
Are you the "tech person" your friends and family always call for help? We are looking for a hands-on, tech-savvy individual to join our team as a Smart Home Technician. You will be the face of our company, helping clients optimize their home connectivity, secure their property, and get their tech running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Audio/Visual Support: Securely mount TVs of various sizes and hide cabling for a clean finish. (Required)
- Must be able to mount TVs on Drywall, Wood Studs, Metal Studs, Brick, and Outdoor Siding. Additional experience with materials such as marble, slabs, etc. are preferred. (Required)
- Connectivity Solutions: Install and optimize Wi-Fi extenders and mesh networks to eliminate dead zones (training provided!).
- Customer Education: Clearly explain to clients how to use their new systems before leaving the site.
What We’re Looking For
- Handy with Tools: Comfortable using power drills, finding studs, and running wire. (Not Required)
- Professionalism: Punctual, polite, and respectful of customers' homes.
- The "Fix-It" Mindset: A natural curiosity for how things work and the persistence to troubleshoot until it’s right.
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, Must have a car that they are able to use for work (will compensate additionally).
