Fireflies Academy is looking for our very own Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle—someone who takes pride in the little things that make a place special.

We are a small, private early childhood program serving children from birth through age five. We have a wonderful team of teachers, and now we’re looking for someone to help us care for our school behind the scenes.

What You’ll Do

Cleaning and caring for our school

• Clean and tidy classrooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, wipe surfaces, and take care of routine cleaning tasks.
• Help keep our school looking beautiful, orderly, and welcoming.
• Notice the little things that need attention and take pride in doing them well.

Occasional substitute opportunities

• Be available to help cover a classroom when a teacher is absent, as your schedule and qualifications allow.
• Help maintain a warm, safe, and caring environment for our children.

The primary responsibility is cleaning. Substitute opportunities are an added bonus, there is not a requirement to be a full-time teacher.

You do not need to be a career teacher. Previous professional cleaning experience is helpful, but a careful, dependable person with a good work ethic may be an excellent fit. We welcome applicants with experience in homes, schools, offices, hospitality, or simply a strong instinct for keeping spaces clean and cared for.

Position Details

• Position: Part-time preschool cleaner, with optional substitute opportunities
• Location: Fireflies Academy, Athens, Ohio
• Hours: Approximately 1.5-2 hours per day for cleaning; occasional substitute hours may be available
• Schedule: To be discussed with the right candidate
• Pay: Based on experience and the responsibilities of the position
