What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Officer - Phoenix, AZ position at FIREFIGHTERS FIRST FEDERAL CREDIT UNION?
Currently, we have an immediate opening for Personal Service Manager (Business Development Officer) to oversee our members (and potential members) in and around the Phoenix, AZ area. The Personal Service Manager (PSM) is responsible for outside sales of FFCU’s products and services, building and maintaining the membership base and revenue, and promoting FFCU’s brand by visiting fire stations and unions to interface with members or potential members, conducting sign-ups, preparing and delivering presentations, hosting tables at vendor halls, and calling and/or sending materials to individuals and organizations.
Typical responsibilities:
- Ensuring member/union relationships are maintained through team efforts.
- Supporting & promoting the Credit Union’s brand/image in all interactions while assisting in the management of key contacts to grow membership and increase revenue.
- Visiting stations, unions, professional firefighter organizations, and attending events where brand exposure is optimal.
- Partnering with local branches and team to effectively cover and develop markets within designated regions.
- Educating members on our products and services to deepen penetration through consultative conversations at conferences, fundraisers, new recruit or training classes, and retiree seminars.
- Maintaining a cultural understanding of different markets in order to create and maintain the local feel necessary to fulfill the vision of firefighters everywhere considering themselves proud members of FFCU.
- Identifying, coordinating, and overseeing business development opportunities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with outside sales.
- Experience with public relations.
- Experience preparing presentations and presenting to groups of 100 or greater
- All candidates must be bondable and maintain bondable status throughout employment in accordance with credit union regulatory requirements.
Travel:
- Travel up to 80% of the time to visit regional offices, attend meetings, conferences, training, and other work-related events.
- May work evenings and weekends.
