About the Role:
Fire Tech Systems, Inc. (FTS) is seeking a motivated Fire Sprinkler Apprentice to join our field operations team. This is a hands-on opportunity to build a skilled trade career in the fire protection and life safety industry, working alongside experienced technicians and foremen on commercial and industrial fire sprinkler systems. FTS invests in developing our people — apprentices who show initiative and reliability have a clear path toward NICET certification and long-term advancement within the company.
What You'll Do:
- Assist licensed fire sprinkler technicians with installation, inspection, testing, and repair of fire sprinkler systems
- Learn to read and interpret system blueprints, layouts, and specifications
- Support pipe fitting, hanging, and system assembly under direct supervision
- Perform routine inspections and document findings accurately
- Maintain tools, equipment, and job site safety standards
- Follow all company safety protocols and applicable NFPA/AHJ code requirements
- Progress through structured on-the-job training toward journeyman-level competency
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced field environment
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites as assigned
- Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in varying conditions (heights, confined spaces, outdoor weather)
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a safety-first mindset
- Prior construction, mechanical, or trade experience a plus — not required
- Military veterans strongly encouraged to apply
