INSPECTION MANAGER
· Daily scheduling and confirmation of all upcoming inspections – minimum 2 months in advance
· Answer incoming calls for customers needing assistance with monitoring
· Minimize inspection backlog
· Make all necessary arrangements for after hours or early inspections as well as keys, lifts, etc.
· Keep track of all tools and supplies and keep proper personnel in loop when reorder is necessary.
· Maintain and update customer information and equipment in database.
· Confirm with inspectors the next day’s schedule by 3:00 and keep informed of ongoing inspections to ensure timely completion.
· Accurately maintain the inspection calendar
· Process all inspection tickets for timely billing
· Minimize office time for all field personnel as well as efficient planning for the
pickup/drop off paperwork
· Help with the processing of account information to provide top level customer service
· Ensure inspectors have all necessary paperwork to complete their job efficiently – tickets, inspection reports, object lists etc.
· Maintain all inspection records
· Prepare inspection reports and have to NJ State and customer within 48 hours of completion.
· Manpower forecasting for the upcoming months as necessary
· Strive to increase profitability on all inspections
· Ultimately responsible for all facets of inspection dept.
Other responsibilities:
· Weekly payroll reporting
· Scheduling vacations and manpower planning
· Taking disciplinary actions when necessary
· Promote a positive and cohesive work environment
· Resolve customer complaints/issues when necessary
· Be aware of customer receivables prior to scheduling inspections
· Assist with employee reviews
· Backup to service manager when needed
Qualifications:
- Must be customer service, detail oriented and a multi-tasker
- Responsible, team player
- Must have 2-4 years experience as Fire Alarm Inspector
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat
- Must be able to communicate in the English language both in oral and written format
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
