Job Description:

A Fire Alarm Technician Helper will assist experienced Fire Alarm Technicians in the programming, testing, and maintaining of fire alarm systems. Candidates for this role must possess basic related competencies and be able to develop them through this role, with the aim of ensuring a successful transition into a Fire Alarm Technician position.

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of experienced Fire Alarm Technicians:

• Filling out work orders and inspection documents.

• Assisting with inspections of Fire alarm systems.

• Assisting with service and repairs to fire alarm systems as required.

• Assist with installations of various system types.

• Reporting control panel activity to the technician performing the testing and documenting results.

• Performing inspections of fire extinguishers and extinguishing systems.

• Performing inspections and repairs of emergency lighting systems.

• Addressing customer service inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.

• Adhering to Health and Safety policies.

• Assisting other service technicians as required.

• Assisting with shop work as required.

• Working to assure service profitability.
