Job Description:
As the Front of House Manager at Fire, you will oversee all front-of-house operations to ensure an outstanding guest experience in a high-energy, casual environment. You will lead, train, and motivate a team of servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff while maintaining efficient service and a positive team culture.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all front-of-house operations, including dining room flow, bar service, and guest experience
- Lead, train, and supervise front-of-house staff to maintain high standards of service
- Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring proper coverage for all shifts
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining, bar, and service areas
- Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth, timely service
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and service standards
- Conduct regular staff meetings and ongoing training
- Handle cash and financial transactions, including daily reconciliation
- Assist with events, promotions, and seasonal initiatives within Pybus Public Market
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous management experience in hospitality (restaurant or bar preferred)
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Passion for guest service and hospitality
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience with POS systems and reservation platforms
- Knowledge of food, beer, wine, and cocktails is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 21 years of age
