Fire Protection Team is seeking an organized and experienced Fire Alarm Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day operational and project coordination functions of the Fire Alarm division. This role will manage fire alarm projects from proposal through completion while supporting field operations, contractors, customers, and internal coordination efforts. The Fire Alarm Project Manager will help improve operational flow by coordinating material procurement, permitting, scheduling, project tracking, deficiency quoting, and customer communication. This position is designed to improve project execution, increase proposal turnaround speed, and support the continued growth of the Fire Alarm division. The ideal candidate will have strong fire alarm industry knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Work Environment: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Occasional outside of this schedule per project requirements)
No on-call responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage fire alarm projects from proposal through completion. Coordinate material procurement and permits.
- Prepare proposals, deficiency quotes, and project documentation for review. Track project timelines, milestones, and customer deliverables.
- Maintain communication with contractors, customers, vendors, and field staff. Support field technicians by ensuring projects are properly scheduled and supplied.
- Assist with account management and deficiency of work opportunities. Maintain accurate records and reporting within company systems.
- Ensure projects are completed in accordance with NFPA requirements and company standards. Identify operational inefficiencies and support process improvements. Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Familiarity with reading blueprints Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- 5 years of fire alarm field experience preferred.
- L, C, or E License preferred.
- Strong understanding of NFPA codes, permitting processes, and inspections.
- Experience with contractor coordination and account management preferred. Equivalent combination of education and industry experience will be considered.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $75,000–$100,000 annually
- OT Exempt
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Occasional travel to job sites and customer locations as needed.
