Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in Low Voltage Engineering and Alarm Systems, with experience installing and servicing fire alarm and related low-voltage equipment.
- Proven ability in Troubleshooting and diagnostics for fire alarm panels, detectors, notification devices, and related system components.
- Knowledge of Life Safety codes, standards, and best practices, including familiarity with NFPA guidelines and local regulatory requirements.
- Effective Customer Service skills, including clear communication, professionalism on-site, and the ability to explain technical issues in understandable terms.
- Relevant certifications or licenses for fire alarm or low-voltage work in Texas (or ability to obtain), and a valid driver’s license with a reliable driving record.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system documentation; comfort using test equipment and basic hand tools.
- Physical ability to perform field work, including standing, climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in varying environmental conditions.
- Prior experience as a fire alarm technician, low-voltage technician, or in a related trade is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required, technical or vocational training is a plus.
