Job Summary: The Account Manager is responsible for managing our existing customers, customer development to include upselling and multi-line development of products and services, working with the Sales Manager, Inside Sales, and Customer Service to ensure customer satisfaction. This position will work with an Outside Sales rep / team with new and existing customers.

- Develop expertise of fire protection equipment and services including portable extinguishers, emergency lighting, restaurant hoods, fire alarms, sprinkler systems, clean agent suppression systems and alarm monitoring.
- Responsible for maintaining an active pipeline of activity that will ensure meeting sales plan/goals assigned.
- Continue to further develop industry technical knowledge through internal training and reviewing technical material.
- Work with the Outside sales reps and provide support with creating work orders, admin work, following up on invoices, sending proposals etc.
- Work with the Outside Sales rep to renew inspections, annual PO’s, etc.
- This position reports to the office full time position.
- Attend departmental and weekly team meetings.
- Attend planning meetings-long range plan and development.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
- College diploma
- 3-5 years’ experience that includes sales skills: prospect development, contact scheduling, identifying buying signs, negotiating, closing the sale, etc.
- Ability to build customer relationships and provide outstanding customer service
- Computer proficient
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
- Must be self-motivated and success-driven
- Ability to work as a team player and dedicated to company profitability
- Possess superior marketing and written/verbal communication skills (people person)
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
- Normal office environment and daylight office hours - some overtime may be required
- Off-site at customers’ facilities as required
