Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Fire Extinguisher Service Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and servicing a variety of fire extinguishers in compliance with NFPA codes and standards. We offer a hands-on apprentice training program to help you build the skills needed for long-term success in this field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and servicing of portable fire extinguishers.
- Use power tools to complete installations, repairs, and related tasks.
- Work directly with clients to ensure systems meet their specific needs.
- Conduct onsite fire extinguisher inspections to verify compliance with safety regulations.
- Clearly communicate inspection results and recommend appropriate solutions to customers.
- Maintain and operate a company-provided service vehicle in a safe and professional manner.
Requirements:
- Ability to pass the ICC/NAFED Fire Extinguisher Technician Certification test within 90 days of employment.
- Skilled in the safe use of power tools for installation and repair work.
- Physically capable of walking up to 1 mile and lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Valid NC driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and customer service skills.
