Pick Up & Delivery Driver

Gear Wash is a family-owned Independent Service Provider (ISP) of personal protective equipment (PPE) care and maintenance. As a subsidiary of Fire-Dex, we specialize in advanced cleaning, inspection, repair, alteration, and equipment customizations for first responders. Our services and rentals meet established industry and manufacturer standards.  

We’re seeking a Pick-Up and Delivery Driver with a great driving record. The job is based out of our Dallas location and travels throughout the state. 

Hours of Work:  Monday – Friday 7:00am – 5:00pm (hours vary depending on the route that is driven) 

Driving Duties include:

• Safely operate a company-supplied conversion van and box truck making pick-ups and delivering it to and from departments 
• Safely operate a company-supplied delivery vans making pick-ups and deliveries of firefighter PPE (personal protective equipment) 
• Learn the routes using maps/GPS
• Provide excellent customer service 
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred 
• Possess a valid drivers' license with a good driving record 
• Eligibility to work in the United States 
• Ability to speak, read and write English 
• Previous experience in pick-up and delivery is helpful (ex: pizza or other food delivery, flower delivery, ride-hailing, etc) 
• Dependable and reliable with attendance
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds due to the nature of handling garments/picks-ups and deliveries 
• Ability to follow instructions and directions 
• Possess a high attention to detail and accuracy 
• Has a solution focused mind-set
• Possess good communication and customer relations skills, enjoys interaction with people

Hourly Rate Range: $15-16
