Responsibilities
- Must have package dellivery experience.
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
- Must be able to pass a DRUG SCREENING AND PHYSICAL.
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle to deliver packages along designated routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently using equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling of all items.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting recipients professionally, answering questions, and ensuring a positive delivery experience.
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and document all deliveries accurately in company systems.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to maintain safety standards and report any issues promptly.
- Manage route driving with precision, optimizing delivery sequences for efficiency while maintaining punctuality.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory checks or moving shipments when not on the road.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with familiarity in route driving and heavy lifting tasks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is highly preferred.
- Experience operating box trucks, manual transmission vehicles, or similar commercial vehicles.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to lift heavy packages repeatedly and perform physical tasks such as moving items or loading/unloading cargo.
- Knowledge of warehouse equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus but not required; training will be provided if needed.
- Prior experience with load & unload procedures, safety protocols, and route management is advantageous.
