The Business Analyst at Fiore & Sons is a key component to our growth and success due to their keen understanding of data, market insight, and ability to apply business metrics to drive decisions that lead to higher performance and greater achievement. The Business Analyst will seek out, develop, and help implement strategic initiatives for improved efficiency and productivity and increase effectiveness through technology, strategy, analytic solutions, etc.

TOTAL COMPENSATION
$89,000.00 to $133,000.00 annually

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain weekly scorecard of various business metrics (production, headcount, ratios, etc.) across all departments (Transportation, Safety, etc.)
  • Generate reports for performance indicators, highlighting trends and underlying causes of unexpected variances
  • Develop models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
  • Support finance team and department leaders with data-driven analysis
  • Build cash flow forecasting models and related analysis
  • Analyze complex data and reports to provide accurate and timely recommendations for decision-making purposes
  • Assist Controller with annual financial budgeting and rolling forecast process
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators across all company departments
  • Responsible for continuous development and improvement of reported data
  • Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI in various departments/ programs
  • Other ad hoc reporting and analysis as required

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

  • Superior analytical skills with innate curiosity and the desire to understand business success at a data-intircate level
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with an obsession with accuracy and thorough knowledge of accounting principles
  • Highly analytical mind with strong data management and MS Excel skills including the ability to look at large quantities of data and find themes, underlying causes, and creative solutions to improve performance
  • Superior communication skills, including the ability to enroll stakeholders across departments and inspire cooperation, as well as communicate sensitive information appropriately
  • Solutions-oriented mindset, including the ability to evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement and implement new procedures with out-of-the-box thinking
  • Deep and intuitive understanding of the way data flows through multiple types of systems with different goals and ultimately impacts both operational outcomes and financials
  • Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding extensive programs and activities of importance
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience relevant to the position

Preferred:

  • College/university graduate with a degree in accounting and/or finance preferred.
  • Experience with Prophix and/or Power BI preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time, including uneven terrain on work sites when needed. Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, twist, list, carry, push, and/or pull 25 lbs occasionally for filing and storage access, etc. Ability to maneuver paperwork and use a computer screen for extended durations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
**A potential mix of office-based and mobile-office-trailer-based work, with far more time generally spent in the office, with varying temperatures and extended screen time.
