What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep/Line Cook position at Fiona's Delicatessen?
Fiona’s Delicatessen and Catering is looking to fill positions in our our kitchen! We are a locally owned and managed family restaurant that has been serving the Fort Collins community for over 25 years. We pride ourselves on serving quality from scratch products in a friendly environment. We are a great place to gain kitchen experience and learn new skills/techniques. Loving great food is a must!
This is a fast-paced atmosphere, and you must be able to work quickly with a team. A minimum of 2 years of professional kitchen experience required, and we will gladly train the right individual if they have a strong drive and positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other culinary tools.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Assist with catering events as needed, providing exceptional service to clients.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Proficiency in knife skills and various cooking techniques.
- Experience in meal preparation within the food industry, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when needed.
- Familiarity with catering services is a plus, along with experience as a dietary aide if applicable.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the field.
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
