- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Manage POS systems such as Toast to process orders efficiently, handle cash transactions, and balance registers at shift end.
- Monitor guest consumption responsibly, ensuring compliance with alcohol service laws and promoting a safe environment.
- Engage with guests in both a pub atmosphere and local events to foster a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist with food handling, serving food when required, and supporting catering or banquet functions as needed.
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve multiple tables or bar patrons seamlessly while maintaining high service standards.
- Uphold all food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures throughout your shift.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours or special events like weddings or corporate functions.
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant or food service environments, especially within fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing and cash handling.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests promptly and professionally.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods without compromising quality.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety at all times.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, retail math for sales transactions, and calculating bills or tips confidently.
- Experience working in the food industry with knowledge of beverage preparation techniques including brewing coffee or tea if applicable.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special event days in dynamic environments like nightclubs or large banquets.
