Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring each drink meets quality standards.
• Greet guests warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide personalized recommendations to enhance their experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Manage POS systems such as Toast to process orders efficiently, handle cash transactions, and balance registers at shift end.
• Monitor guest consumption responsibly, ensuring compliance with alcohol service laws and promoting a safe environment.
• Engage with guests in both a pub atmosphere and local events to foster a welcoming atmosphere.
• Assist with food handling, serving food when required, and supporting catering or banquet functions as needed.
• Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve multiple tables or bar patrons seamlessly while maintaining high service standards.
• Uphold all food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures throughout your shift.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours or special events like weddings or corporate functions.

Skills

• Proven experience in restaurant or food service environments, especially within fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing and cash handling.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests promptly and professionally.
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods without compromising quality.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety at all times.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, retail math for sales transactions, and calculating bills or tips confidently.
• Experience working in the food industry with knowledge of beverage preparation techniques including brewing coffee or tea if applicable.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special event days in dynamic environments like nightclubs or large banquets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.07 - $24.17 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
