About this Opportunity
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to ensure accounts payable are processed on time, accurately, and with attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
The Accounts Payable Associate will report to the Vice President of Finance (VP). (S)he will work closely with, and must establish excellent working relationships with, internal departments such as Property Management, Lease Administration, Construction, and other members of the operations team. Key responsibilities include:
· Managing vendor invoices in the Yardi accounting system.
· Tracks invoices to follow the proper approval workflow in Yardi.
· Responds to all vendor inquiries.
· Reconciles vendor statements, researching and correcting discrepancies as necessary.
· Matches checks with invoices and other support documentation.
· Interfaces with other departments on accounts payable issues.
· Files invoices and other documentation as required, in electronic and/or in hard copy form.
· Assists with annual audit as needed, providing support files.
· Perform other duties as assigned by VP.
Qualifications
· At least 1 year of experience in processing Accounts Payable (3 years preferred)
· Experience with accounting software (Yardi preferred)
· Must be able to operate proficiently in a Windows environment (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Teams)
· Must be well-organized and be able to manage and prioritize work, pay attention to detail, be proactive, take initiative, resolve problems, follow through, and simultaneously ensure that deadlines are met.
· Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Completed college education with an Associate Degree or higher.
Pay: $72,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
