Role Summary:
The Operations & AI Automation Intern will support the Marketing Services division in driving operational excellence and efficiency across the agency. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, Operations, this role will be responsible for identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and automate repetitive tasks using AI and other technology platforms. The ideal candidate is a proactive "change agent" who can balance technical curiosity with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset to help the agency work better, faster, and smarter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Work with Project Management teams and Operations and other Department Leads to analyze existing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions to improve efficiency.
- Automation Implementation: Develop and implement automated solutions for routine operational tasks using platforms like Zapier.
- AI & Tool Integration: Leverage the agency's primary AI platform, Gemini, to enhance efficiency and capabilities across different departments, integrating AI and automations with existing tools like Airtable
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with teams across the agency to lead change management efforts and ensure the smooth adoption of new processes and tools.
Example Projects:
The intern will have the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, which may include:
- Statement of Work (SOW) Generator App: Develop an application that streamlines the creation of SOWs by leveraging existing scope templates, standard language, pricing structures, and process flows.
- Automated Project Intake: Design and implement an automated intake process for the Integrated Production team or for video projects, improving efficiency from initial request to project kick-off.
- Project Review Cycle Automation: Identify and automate repetitive tasks within project review cycles to accelerate feedback loops and reduce manual effort.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of business operations, technology, or computer science principles. This role is open to current students, recent graduates, career changers, veterans, and individuals passionate about AI and automation.
- Familiarity with or a strong interest in using AI platforms like Gemini.
- Prior experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier) is a plus.
- Experience with Airtable or similar database or Project Management tools for managing work, building dashboards and managing data is highly desirable, but not required.
- A strong "bias for action" and a willingness to get hands-dirty building solutions rather than just discussing ideas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across different teams and departments.
