Cleaning Specialist for Vacation Homes

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Housekeeper, you will work independently to ensure assigned vacation rental properties are clean, organized, and fully prepared for guest or owner arrivals. With prior housekeeping experience, you will perform routine and deep cleaning tasks with minimal supervision while consistently exceeding FLPP quality standards. This role includes identifying and reporting housekeeping or maintenance issues, noting wear-and-tear items that require replacement, and assisting with the overall upkeep of properties. From time to time, Housekeepers may also be asked to deliver and install property-specific items and support special cleaning projects as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Daily Task Include but are not limited to:

• Independently clean and prepare vacation rental properties for guest and owner arrivals, including departure cleans and deep cleans, using approved cleaning methods, procedures, and checklists to meet FLPP standards.
• Perform general housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, changing linens, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, and sanitizing all areas to ensure properties are clean, organized, and presentable.
• Pay close attention to property-specific details on every clean to support guest and owner satisfaction and maintain consistent, high-quality results.
• Ensure properties are secure and set to standard unit appearance, including locking doors and windows, setting thermostats, adjusting lights and window coverings, and maintaining clean interior and exterior areas.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed, including replacing batteries or lightbulbs and tightening screws, and report maintenance, damage, or wear-and-tear issues.
• Accurately document all assigned work using company technology, including the Breezeway app, with required notes and photos to confirm tasks are completed correctly and on time.
• Communicate effectively with Supervisors, Inspectors, and other departments, support teamwork and continuous improvement, and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Travel is required for this position. Team members may be expected to operate a company vehicle to perform housekeeping duties, including travel from the office to assigned vacation homes and between multiple properties during a scheduled shift. Use of a personal vehicle may be permitted with prior approval.

Additional Expectations

Mileage reimbursement is available for approved work-related travel when a company vehicle is not available or practical. Employees may use personal vehicles provided they meet all legal and insurance requirements. Reimbursable mileage is paid at the current FLPP rate and applies only to business travel, excluding normal commuting. All mileage must be properly documented and submitted in accordance with company procedures to be eligible for reimbursement.

Safety Support:

• Manage safety and security policies and procedures, report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries: complete safety training and certifications.
• Coordinates with the FLPP Safety manager to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Ensures all policies are followed and enforced for outside agencies.
• Keeps all required safety records and documentation current and up-to-date.
• Maintains a safety first work ethic.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in vacation rentals or hospitality.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Must be reliable and flexible with work hours.
• Reliable transportation, Driver’s License and ability to commute to various properties.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands in a repetitive motion, reaching, grasping, rotating, bending, walking, squatting, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
