Position Title: Data Conversion Tech II (RN)
TEMPORARY POSITION - Project Based
Education:
Minimum: Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing
Preferred:
License/Certifications:
Current NYS license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
Experience:
Minimum: 1 yr prior experience in healthcare related field utilizing Electronic Medical Record system.
Preferred: 1 yr Prior experience as a nurse or medical assistant with clinical data entry responsibilities and medical terminology.
Other:
Minimum: Must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly to staff, physicians, patients and visitors. Must demonstrate proficiency in typing as well as data entry.

Responsibility Summary: The data conversion tech is responsible to convert patient data from hospital's current medical record system into e Record. Reviews clinical data to ensure conversion accuracy and medical record completeness. Updates patient demographic information as necessary. Performs various clerical/support functions in conjunction with the completion and processing of all types of records including electronic. Performs other tasks as assigned.
