Our client, a recently launched ~$500mm long-only hedge fund in Austin, TX is looking to add a Mid/Senior Trader to their lean investment team.
The fund and role are based in Austin, TX. Relocation assistance provided. Flexible on timing for the move, but this is ultimately an in-office seat.

- Recently launched with substantial institutional backing and strong growth trajectory
- Portfolio manager and senior leadership come from top-tier hedge fund pedigrees
- Highly concentrated long-only strategy (10-20 names)
- Focus across old economy sectors: energy, industrials, materials, utilities, consumer, real assets, restaurants, hotels, builders
- Small, collaborative 8-person team with significant runway for growth
Qualifications/Background:
- 3-7 years of buy-side or sell-side trading experience
- Strong equities background with meaningful derivatives/options competency
- Someone highly resourceful and dynamic who can wear multiple hats across trading, analytics, risk reporting, corporate access, and light research
- Must be willing to relocate to Austin, TX
Salary : $300,000 - $800,000
