As a Pizza & Sandwich Maker, you will be responsible for preparing food to order, ensuring that each item meets our high-quality standards, and providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble pizza and sandwich menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, slicers, and food prep stations efficiently and safely
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas by following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Ensure proper food handling practices are adhered to at all times to promote safety and hygiene
- Support menu planning efforts by providing feedback on ingredient availability and preparation methods
- Collaborate with team members to meet high-volume production demands while maintaining consistency and quality
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially with pizza or sandwich preparation preferred
- Knowledge of food safety management, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a high-volume setting
- Experience with food industry standards related to recipe adherence, food production, and dietary department practices
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Prior experience in fine dining or dietary aide roles is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
