Position Summary
The Vice President of Sales & Business Development is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for driving company growth through increased sales, expansion into new markets, and the development of new products, services, and sales channels. This role oversees all sales operations, including house accounts, client onboarding, and large-scale project management.
The VP serves as a strategic leader for the sales, client services, and business development teams, building a unified vision, inspiring exceptional performance, and cultivating a high-performance culture grounded in candor, ambition, trust, accountability, and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Provide day-to-day leadership and management to the sales and customer service teams in alignment with the company’s mission, vision, and core values.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key partners and vendors.
- Oversee external communications related to security issues impacting customers or partners; develop and implement communication plans for affected employees, customers, and vendors.
Sales Management
- Own the strategy, execution, and achievement of the company’s annual sales plan and revenue goals.
- Lead the strategy and execution of the company’s eCommerce software business plan, including market penetration, customer acquisition, and platform growth.
- Direct Business Development efforts across both public and private sectors, identifying new opportunities for expansion and partnerships.
- Support major account initiatives through win strategy sessions, RFP development, client presentations, and facility tours.
- Oversee staffing, training, and performance evaluations to build a world-class sales organization.
- Recruit, onboard, and mentor new account managers; design and execute the company’s prospecting strategy.
- Serve as a key liaison between Sales and other departments, including Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership.
Financial Oversight & Operations
- Establish and manage travel and entertainment (T&E) budgets in collaboration with Finance; ensure adherence to company procurement policies and assess ROI of T&E expenditures.
- Promote and ensure effective use of the company’s CRM platform to drive visibility, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.
Customer Experience & Retention
- Partner with the management team to align Customer Service policies and systems with organizational goals.
- Oversee and resolve customer issues to ensure effective, timely, and lasting resolutions.
- Develop and implement procedures that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Customer Service Department.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Provide overall supervision and leadership across corporate operational areas related to sales, client services, and business development.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum ten (10) years of sales experience with knowledge of printing, marketing and or communication industries.
- Minimum five (5) years sales management experience.
- Proficient in the use of CRM tools and internet-based systems to manage business portfolio.
- Strong communication skills to manage the internal and external stakeholder expectations
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills

- Ability to make effective decisions under pressure
