Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with product demos, upselling items to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Conduct regular inventory checks and support stock replenishment efforts in the grocery or retail store environment
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures in a retail or grocery store setting
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially in managing team members or training new staff
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members in bilingual settings preferred
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking techniques, and product demos to boost sales and customer engagement
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail calculations confidently
