Summary:
Providing guests and staff with utensils, cookware, tableware, glassware and clean, disinfected and sanitized equipment.
Duties include but not limited to:
• Washes all wares including pots, plans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers. • Correctly places and stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas. • Stocks serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils. • Maintain and fill the dishwasher with detergent in the morning and turn off the at the end of the evening shift according to established procedure. • Cleans trash receptacles with water or steam. • Move dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to work area by hand or using hand trucks. • Prepare the laundry bags from, prep line. expo and kitchen area and FOH. • May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed. • Ensures work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation. • Keep the kitchen clean by sweeping, mopping and emptying trash cans. • Complete functions assigned preparation and improvement. • Ensure proper product rotation mark and label with "day dots". • Resolve problems that may arise with running the dishwasher or with adding dish detergent. • Keep the supervisor informed of any problems or issues and take necessary actions as required and suggest solutions or alternatives as appropriate. • Perform all activities and responsibilities in a highly effective manner by the company's established policies to achieve the objectives of your position. • Maintain a positive working relationship with all store employees to create and promote a healthy and harmonious work climate that will be of utmost importance both in the employee's behavior and morals, as well as in their productivity and efficiency. • At all times provide a favorable image of Cantina Catrina’s to promote their goals and objectives, raise guest recognition and achieve acceptance of the commitment areas. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: • Ability to understand and follow directions. • Ability to understand and meet restaurant standards for health, safety, and excellence. • Ability to remain alert and focused in an environment that is noisy and fast-paced. • Ability to work effectively with kitchen staff. • Detail-oriented and thorough.
Education and Experience: • Restaurant experience preferred. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods walking or standing. • Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 60 pounds at a time. • Must be able to workdays, nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed. • Must be able to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently. • Must frequently immerse hands in water. • Must be able to work in a hot and damp environment.
