TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
Studio Director / Project Manager
5 years experience in project management in architectural office, landscape office, or construction management
This is a leadership position, primarily in the studio.
Director of Digital Fabrication
1-5 years experience in fabrication shop with robot and ideally 3d printing.
knowledge of programming for Kuka robots for milling.
We are looking for people that have a passion for design and making - who are interested in working on high profile projects in both a studio and shop environment. This is an opportunity to see designs from conception through fabrication, collaborating with national and international leading architects, landscape architects, and graphic designers.
Fine Concrete designs and fabricates custom castings and production pieces for architecture and landscape architecture projects throughout North America and is the nation’s leader in complex formwork combining manual craftsmanship with digital processes, including our 6-axis milling robot. We have established unique fabrication techniques and are constantly updating them with new technologies. Fine Concrete casts exclusively with UHPC, Ultra-High-Performance-Concrete, the cutting edge of concrete.
STUDIO SKILLS:
o prior experience with architectural shop drawings
o knowledge of construction and fabrication techniques
o must be detail oriented
o organized and excel at follow-through
o Rhino 3d modeling (grasshopper a plus)
o working understanding of digital manufacturing (cnc milling, 3d printing, laser cutting, etc)
o high energy – understand deadlines and work efficiently
o interested in a creative and collaborative studio/shop environment as a career
o interested in developing new technologies
o good attitude & sense of humor
