What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Band Director Pool - Middle School - Percussion 2025-2026 position at FINE ARTS DEPARTMENT?
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree;
- Valid Texas Teacher’s Certificate or enrollment in an Alternative Certification Program or equivalent.
PREFERRED:
- Knowledge of State and UIL policies governing music education.

The Assistant Band Director - Percussion will teach ensemble classes, conduct a Concert Band and be held accountable for assigned instructional duties. The Assistant Band Director - Percussion will assist the Head Band Director with extra-curricular events including concerts, football games, pep rallies, parades, TMEA and UIL activities. The Assistant Band Director - Percussion will assist the Head Band Director with all paperwork as well as instructional duties as assigned to provide the best music education possible for the students of BISD.
