What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Manager - Shipping & Receiving position at Findlay Products Corp?
2nd Shift
- Analyze customer-shipping requirements & create ship lists to meet requirements.
- Coordinate the safe storage, loading & unloading of product to insure the quality of the product is maintained.
- Coordinate proper shipping documents with each shipment.
- Responsible to conduct E.D.I. transactions as required by the customer.
- Schedule trucks for inbound & outbound freight.
- Give direction to the shipping team & team leader to drive priorities & assignments.
- Maintain records of releases, shipping documents & keep the pricing, shipping & billing destinations current.
- Order supplies to maintain adequate inventory of shipping supplies.
- Develop a good customer relationship with all customers, customer contact backup. Rotating weekend coverage.
- Work on projects for continuous improvement of the S&R Department.
- Treat all team members with respect & dignity.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
