Findlay City Schools is seeking an innovative and student-centered Enrichment Teacher to serve students in grades 6–8. This position is designed to extend learning beyond the core curriculum by providing engaging, exploratory, and interdisciplinary experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
Under the leadership of the building principal, the Enrichment Teacher will create dynamic learning opportunities that challenge students, promote collaboration, and foster a strong sense of belonging. Essential Functions
- Design and deliver engaging enrichment courses or modules aligned with district goals and middle school standards.
- Provide opportunities for project-based learning, inquiry, collaboration, and real-world application.
- Support the development of critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and creativity.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs and interests of diverse learners.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages risk-taking and student voice.
- Collaborate with core content teachers to complement and extend classroom learning.
- Use formative assessments and student feedback to refine instruction and measure impact.
- Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance student engagement and innovation.
- Maintain accurate records of student participation and progress, as applicable.
- Communicate with students, families, and staff regarding enrichment opportunities and student growth.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school initiatives.
Additional Duties
- Assist in coordinating special projects, clubs, academic competitions, or school-wide enrichment initiatives.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the principal or district administration.
- Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to design creative, interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Knowledge of project-based learning, inquiry-based instruction, or STEAM practices.
- Skill in differentiating instruction to support both enrichment and extension.
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Valid Ohio teaching license appropriate for grades 6–8 (content area flexible based on assignment).
- Experience teaching middle school students preferred.
- Background or demonstrated interest in enrichment programming, STEM/STEAM, the arts, leadership development, or interdisciplinary instruction preferred.
