National organization with a large footprint is seeking an OPERATIONS MANAGER for it's electric motor facility in La Porte, TX . This is a full time, onsite position leading the shop team. The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory / management experience in the electric motor / rotating apparatus repair industry with knowledge of AC / DC motor repair.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the shop & employees.
- Will manage, coordinate, and prioritize workflow in large motor shop.
- Maintain schedules / deliveries.
- Distribute workload.
- Provide superior technical support for our customers.
- Direct the shop personnel to assure the technical competence of work being completed.
- Maintain the present customer base as well as build new relationships
- Adhere to all company policies
- Observe all safety procedures and policies and use proper protective equipment (especially eye, ear protection and steel toe shoes / boots, gloves, etc.).
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Report all injuries, near misses and accidents immediately to a supervisor
