Systems & Network Administrator II is responsible for the design, implementation, security, and day-to-day administration of the company's network and workstation infrastructure. This role combines traditional network administration duties with front-line helpdesk support, end-user device deployment, and IT asset management, ensuring reliable technology operations across the entire facility. This position serves as a key point of contact for end users, resolving issues efficiently while maintaining strong cybersecurity practices and accurate systems documentation. Related duties include administering and maintaining the corporate network core, switches, routers, and wireless network infrastructure across all locations, implementing and troubleshooting connectivity between company sites and campus locations, including LAN/WAN links, performing LAN routing and switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting, including VLANs and IP subnetting, diagnosing and resolving network issues, including backbone infrastructure problems, to minimize downtime. Additional job functions include performing routine maintenance, patching and firmware/software updates across network and server infrastructure, assisting with corporate phone systems (VoIP/PBX) and company cellular service, including vendor relationships and troubleshooting and managing computer hardware assets, including procurement, deployment, inventory, and replacement. Bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science is preferred. A minimum of seven (7) years of work experience in a technology field may be substituted for degree. Current Microsoft or Cisco certification(s) (e.g., MCSA/MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, or equivalent). Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking, including backbone infrastructure troubleshooting. LAN routing and switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting (VLANs, IP subnetting) a plus.
