Position Summary
The Production, Planning and Control Intern is responsible for assisting with various Planning and Data Control assignments and becoming familiar with PP&C standards.
Domestic travel may be required.
Essential Functions
- Report to the PP&C Trade Manager any circumstances or information regarding labor budgets that may be detrimental to the financial well-being of the company
- Review and report areas of concern in data reporting, developing slides and presentations related to change information for PP&C
- Interact with various departments of the organization (Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, Finance, etc.) to facilitate the collaboration and achieving of the Company's targets
- Entering the manufacturing areas of the shipyard as well as going onboard ships and ship sections that are in the construction phase
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
Required Skills
- Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite computer skills
- Must have strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills
- Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor
- Must adhere to ISO and OSHA policies established by FMG and have high values for safety awareness
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent and enrolled in a university or college with a goal of achieving a engineering or technical degree
