Position Summary
Responsible for painting equipment, machinery, and ship interiors/exteriors, as well as shipyard buildings across a 63-acre facility. Prepares surfaces by removing old paint and mixes coatings to achieve proper color and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
- Work under intermittent supervision following directions
- Mix, thin, and apply coatings; operate blast pots, paint pumps, and pressure washers
- Set up, use, clean, maintain, and troubleshoot painting/blasting equipment
- Use conventional and airless spray guns
- Clean tanks and machinery spaces to gas-free standards
- Store equipment properly and complete miscellaneous assigned tasks
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental policies; maintain regular attendance
- Frequently lift/carry up to 40 lbs; occasionally up to 50--55 lbs
- Perform tasks involving walking, climbing ladders/stairs, bending, reaching, and working at heights
- Operate tools such as spray guns, blasting equipment, grinders, and pressure washers
- Pull hoses/tarps, handle blasting materials, and perform daily manual labor tasks across varying elevations and conditions
