What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Portfolio Manager (Trust Investment Officer) position at Financial Recruiters International?
About the opportunity
An established Vermont trust and wealth management organization is hiring a Senior Portfolio Manager. The senior PM who manages the firm's largest book retires at year end, so this hire steps into a book with a structured handoff, not a cold start. This is the investment decision maker seat. Not a sales role, and not a financial advisor position.
What you will own
- Full portfolio management for high net worth individuals, families, and fiduciary relationships: asset allocation, research, and individual security selection
- A structured transition of an established book from the retiring senior portfolio manager
- The investment expert seat in client and prospect meetings, working in tandem with trust and relationship officers
- A voice in investment strategy as the firm builds its next generation investment team
What you bring
- 5 or more years of hands-on portfolio management, making real asset allocation and security level decisions
- Individual security management experience preferred; strong fund based managers ready to go deeper will be considered
- CFA or CFP a strong plus, not required; trust or fiduciary exposure a plus
- Based in Vermont or ready to relocate; this role is on-site
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary based on experience
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage
- 401(k) with employer match
- Paid time off and holidays
- Life and disability coverage
- Professional development support
