Financial Partners Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced, service-minded professional to serve as Branch Manager of our new Berne, Indiana office. This individual will play an important role in establishing Financial Partners FCU in the Berne and Adams County community while delivering the personal service and financial guidance our members expect.
Our ideal candidate will be from or have strong familiarity with the Adams County area, understand the local community, and be comfortable developing relationships with individuals, families, businesses, and community organizations.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Branch Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and growth of the Berne office. Because this will be a new branch, the position requires a hands-on manager who is comfortable wearing multiple hats.
This is not strictly a supervisory or administrative position. The Branch Manager will work directly with members, operate a cash drawer when needed, open accounts, assist with transactions, and serve as the primary lender for the Berne office.
The successful candidate must be able to move comfortably between managing the branch, serving members at the teller line, evaluating loan requests, developing community relationships, and handling the daily responsibilities necessary to operate a successful credit union office.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the daily operations of the Berne branch while maintaining a welcoming, professional, and member-focused environment.
• Provide leadership and direction to branch staff as the office grows.
• Maintain and balance a cash drawer and assist members with deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other financial transactions.
• Serve as the primary lender for the branch, including interviewing applicants, evaluating loan requests, preparing loan documentation, and helping members identify appropriate lending solutions.
• Open new accounts and assist members with Financial Partners FCU products and services.
• Maintain appropriate cash controls, security procedures, operational standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Effectively multitask between teller, lending, management, and member-service responsibilities.
• Develop relationships throughout Berne and the surrounding Adams County community.
• Represent Financial Partners FCU professionally at community events and activities.
• Help develop new membership and lending opportunities while maintaining the credit union's commitment to responsible financial stewardship.
• Resolve member questions and concerns with professionalism, sound judgment, and a service-oriented approach.
• Work closely with management and staff at the Woodburn and Grabill offices to ensure consistency in operations, lending, service, and credit union standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Management or supervisory experience, preferably in banking, credit unions, financial services, retail, or another customer-focused environment.
• Previous cash-handling experience and the ability to accurately maintain and balance a cash drawer.
• Lending experience is strongly preferred; however, candidates with strong financial-services experience and the ability to learn consumer lending will be considered.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• The ability to make sound decisions while providing exceptional member service.
• A willingness to be personally involved in all aspects of branch operations rather than functioning solely in a management role.

TRAINING & TRAVEL
The selected Branch Manager will initially train at Financial Partners FCU's Woodburn, Indiana office before assuming full responsibility for the Berne location.
The candidate must be willing and able to travel between Berne and Woodburn during the training period and, when necessary, thereafter for meetings, additional training, or other credit union responsibilities.
