Role Description The Associate Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Towson, MD. This team member supports lead advisors in delivering financial planning and investment advisory services, including gathering client data, preparing analyses, and helping develop recommendations. Day-to-day responsibilities include participating in client meetings, documenting meeting notes, preparing reports and presentations, and assisting with account openings, transfers, and service requests. The Associate Advisor will monitor client portfolios, help implement investment and financial planning strategies, and maintain accurate records in the firm’s CRM and custodial platforms. The role also includes conducting product and market research, ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements, and contributing to a positive, client-centered team culture.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and support portfolio and planning recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial concepts in clear, accessible language.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple clients, tasks, and deadlines accurately.
- Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfort learning financial planning, CRM, and custodian platforms.
- Commitment to ethical standards, regulatory compliance, and maintaining client confidentiality in all interactions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment while also taking initiative and working independently when needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field preferred; relevant experience in wealth management or financial services is a plus.
