This is a hybrid, paid and educational, internship role based in Champaign, Bloomington, and Peoria IL, with a combination of in-office work and some work-from-home flexibility. Financial Advising Interns will build their own practice and learn financial planning through in classroom learning, client meetings, and through networking events. Daily tasks may include networking events at the country club, meeting with potential clientele, building financial plans through our PX Software, helping prepare financial reports and illustrations, and maintaining accurate client records in internal systems. The intern will participate in team meetings, lead and shadow client interaction, and learn how comprehensive financial plans are developed and monitored. The role also involves communicating with internal team members, handling follow-up tasks from client meetings, and supporting projects that improve client service and operational efficiency.

Qualifications
- Must be a current college student or graduated within the last week.
- Must be a local student within an hour of our Peoria, Bloomington, or Champaign offices.
- Passionate about Finance and Financial Planning, with interest in comprehensive wealth management and comprehensive planning, not just investments.
- Clear and professional Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain information accurately and listen effectively.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Entrepreneurship, Business, Economics, Sales, Communications or a related field (or equivalent relevant coursework).
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical judgment.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in standard office and collaboration tools (e.g., Excel, Word, presentation software, video conferencing platforms).
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, accept feedback, and work collaboratively in both in-person and remote settings.
