Position Summary:
The Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) is seeking a motivated and adaptable summer Intern to serve in a floating, project-based role across the organization. This intern will support a variety of departments by contributing to short term and ongoing projects aligned with organizational priorities. Assignments may span functional areas such as IT, Content Operations, Human Resources or other business units, depending on organizational needs and the intern’s interests and skills.
This position offers exposure to a professional, mission driven environment and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on meaningful projects under the guidance of experienced staff.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support assigned projects and work across multiple departments, as needed
- Assist with research, data gathering, analysis, and documentation
- Prepare summaries, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, or other materials related to assigned projects
- Participate in team meetings and project check-ins, track action items and follow-ups
- Collaborate with staff and other interns to meet project goals and deadlines
- Provide general administrative or operational support in connection with assigned work
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with learning new technology, including AI
- Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with staff at all levels
