Project Accounting Supervisor
Full-service construction firm seeking a Project Accounting Supervisor to support project managers, oversee project accounting operations, mentor junior staff, and ensure accurate billing and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain projects in accounting systems
- Support project managers with financial reports and project questions
- Review and manage WIP (work-in-progress) reporting, including over/under billings
- Review billing, contracts, subcontracts, and pay applications
- Process invoices and manage vendor/subcontractor payment inquiries
- Prepare owner invoices and ensure contract billing compliance
- Assist with audits, tax reviews, and special projects
- Mentor and train project accounting staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or 4 years of construction accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of general ledger, cost, and management accounting
- Advanced computer skills
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
