JOB GOAL:
Performs the duties related to the District’s accounts payable and request for reimbursement (RfR) functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system report to balances.
Pays vendors, monitors for discount opportunities, prepares checks / ACH files, and investigates discrepancies as needed to keep the vendors current.
Pays employees for expense reimbursements.
Prepare and upload the Positive Pay file to the bank.
Reconciles monthly statements from vendors and clear discrepancies.
Submits RfRs as required by the District to NM PED, includes balancing reports, investigating discrepancies, verifying back up and responding to requests.
Maintain record files either electronically or hard copy.
Prepares quarterly reports as required to be posted on the District’s website.
Receipt cash / checks that come into the Central office and prepare the deposit slip.
Performs related duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent; two years of related experience. Accounts Payable experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routing reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
