What are the responsibilities and job description for the Downtown Evening Cleaner | 20–22 Hours/Week position at Final Phase?
Final Phase is growing, and we’re looking for a dependable, positive person who wants to grow with us.
We’re a newer company that is expanding quickly, and we’re looking for people who can appreciate being part of that journey. For the right person, there is real opportunity for more hours, additional locations, increased responsibility, and future growth within the company.
This position is a consistent downtown Des Moines evening route beginning around September 1.
Schedule: Monday–Friday evenings
Hours: Approximately 20–22 hours per week
Three out of five evenings are around 2.5 hours, with two longer evenings each week of approximately 6–6.5 hours.
The buildings are located together and share the same parking area.
Responsibilities include office and common-area cleaning, restrooms, vacuuming and mopping, trash removal, entry glass, stairwells/elevator areas, and general cleaning. Final Phase provides the equipment, chemicals, and supplies needed to do the job.
We want to be as flexible as possible with our team. We currently have multiple locations and different hour ranges available, so if you are looking for additional hours or want to combine this route with another location, let us know what schedule works best for you.
We’re looking for someone who is dependable, communicates well, takes pride in their work, and can work independently once trained. Consistent attendance is extremely important.
Employees must also be comfortable using a mobile timekeeping app to clock in and out, view schedules, communicate about assigned locations, and complete required job documentation.
Growth and Pay Review
We review performance within the first 30 days of employment. Employees who demonstrate strong attendance, reliability, quality of work, and communication may be considered for a pay increase after that initial review period.
As Final Phase continues growing, reliable employees may also have opportunities for:
- Additional accounts
- Increased weekly hours
- Training responsibilities
- Lead or supervisory opportunities
- Continued advancement within the company
Pay: STARTING AT $15/hour
Location: Downtown Des Moines
Start: Late August training / approximately September 1
Requirements: Reliable transportation, smartphone, ability to use a mobile timekeeping app, dependable attendance, and ability to pass a background check.
