Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting Home Appliances to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting. Driver will have a helper to complete daily work.
Duties
- Safely drive delivery vehicles, to designated locations.
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and Dolly.
- Follow assigned routes for efficient delivery while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
- Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation skills is essential.
- Experience with installing appliances ( Refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryers) in customer home.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently is required.
- Experience driving 24 to 26 ft Box Truck.
- Must have valid Driver License
