Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and proper food preparation procedures to ensure safety standards are met
- Clear tables efficiently, bus dishes, and reset tables to maintain a clean dining area
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments with openTable or similar reservation systems
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders in a fine dining or casual setting
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest questions confidently
- Uphold food safety standards and sanitation practices in accordance with health regulations
- Support guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including serving or host/hostess roles
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong culinary knowledge and understanding of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Previous fine dining or nightclub experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Knowledge of food industry standards related to serving, bussing, sanitation, and guest relations
