Job Summary:
The Operations Lead will collaborate with the Plant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity in the manufacturing of high-quality filters. This role involves coordinating production schedules, managing staff, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the execution of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics.
- Lead and oversee department leads and production staff to ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as needed to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain safety protocols to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Participate in resource planning and cost control efforts to maximize operational efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Collaborate on inventory management and coordinate to ensure raw materials and components are available.
- Participate in hiring, training, and performance management of plant personnel.
- Ensure compliance with company policies.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate teams.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or other process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual capabilities a plus.
Work Environment:
- Primarily a manufacturing plant environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
- May require occasional lifting, standing, or working extended hours to meet production demands.
